Prague, nicknamed ‘little mother Prague’, is an architecture’s dream. And even if you’re not into buildings, you’ll end up loving the place. Throughout the years of conflict, bombardment, devastation, and mass murders in Europe Prague was untouched. It was the only major city in the Eastern Europe that was not bombed during the world wars, leaving it to sparkle under the midnight sky. My favorite part about Prague is the preservation of all the styles historical architecture. Gothic rests side by side with ultra modern. The fading greens of the once sparkling Baroque copper roofs are littered throughout the city giving a breathtaking vibe and unique vibe to Prague. It’s sightseeing heaven. Walking around during any part of the day is half the fun. You can explore town squares, visit extraordinary cathedrals and churches, and find gargoyle statues perched on the sides of buildings. The variety of styles and diversity of its many neighborhoods create an environment that is paralleled nowhere else. No longer under communist rules and restrictions, the city is exploring its boundless potential for fun. Shopping is incredible if you are European, and for Americans it’s about par with prices in the States. Prague is easily one of the best shopping cities in Europe. Beer is cheap, good, and comes in large quantities, and there are endless theatre shows, pubs, and even shopping centers for your pleasure.
